Elia Fioravanti
I am an Emmy Noether group leader at KIT in Karlsruhe, funded by my DFG grant titled Coarse medians as a hyperbolicity surrogate.
Previously, I was a Hirzebruch Research Instructor at Max Planck Institute for Mathematics and at the University of Bonn, where my mentor was Ursula Hamenstädt. I obtained my PhD from the University of Oxford in September 2019, under the supervision of Cornelia Druţu.
My research generally takes place within Geometric Group Theory. I am particularly interested in median spaces, CAT(0) cube complexes and, more generally, non-positively curved spaces.
Other topics I like are measured group theory, Anosov representations and bounded cohomology.
Here is my CV.
